Oscar Pereiro Sio (born August 3, 1977 in Mos, Galicia) is a Spanish road bicycle racer, turning pro in 2000 with the Portuguese team Porta da Ravessa. He rode for the Swiss team Phonak in the 2004 and 2005 Tour de France. He placed 10th in the 2004 Tour de France, 22 minutes 54 seconds behind the winner Lance Armstrong. In 2005, and was awarded the most aggressive rider in the Tour de France. On stages 15, 16, and 18 he powered the winning breakaway. He won stage 16 from Xabier Zandio, Eddy Mazzeloni and Australia's Cadel Evans. His efforts on stage 15, the toughest stage of the Tour were highly admired from the peloton. On that day he came 2nd to Discovery Channel's George Hincapie after pulling for most of the final climb up the Pla D'Adet. He was one of the three leaders at Phonak Hearing Systems, along with Floyd Landis and Santiago Botero. His aggression throughout the Tour was awarded with the most combatative prize in Paris.
For 2006 he will be riding for the Caisse d'Epargne-Illes Balears team after being at Phonak Hearing Systems for a few years.
