Österlen

Encyclopedia : S : ST : STE : Österlen

Österlen encompasses the southeastern part of the Scania province in south Sweden. The most known towns are Simrishamn, Kivik and Tomelilla. Ystad is on the western edge of the area and the name Österlen traditionally refers to the fact it is the area located to the east of Ystad.
