Encyclopedia : : : : Ɓ
Ɓ (minuscule: ɓ) is a letter of the Latin alphabet, formed from B with the addition of a hook. It is used in the International Phonetic Alphabet and in some African languages, such as Fula and Hausa, to represent a voiced bilabial implosive. It was also formerly used in Xhosa and Zulu.
Its uppercase form can appear as a capital B with a hook to the left, or it can look similar to the Cyrillic letter be (Б).
