(UK) Hanky Panky

Encyclopedia : U : UK : UKH : (UK) Hanky Panky

(UK) Hanky Panky is a single by Mandy Kane. It is his latest - and first independently released - single about hedonism and sexual promiscuity and their consequences, but most of all it's about unity - no matter what your race, age or sexual persuasion. Always with irony, MK's distinctive vocals and trademark infectious melodies leap out of this bold, twisted track, with candid lyrics that have seen the track on its way to becoming the anthem of a new generation of bisexual youth in clubs throughout the UK. MK recently completed a remix of (UK) Hanky Panky, a dark, dirty electronic journey through the (very) late night dance floors of the last decade. He calls it the "STD mix" (Sonically Transmitted Disease) and plans to include it on the single's follow-up EP, Murder In The Daylight, out April 8 2006.

The music video for (UK) Hanky Panky was selected by Ultrashort Media's Real Garage Bands promotion (through Sonicbids) and to be showcased on their "Real Garage Bands" and "Underground" mobile music video channels and networks including Sprint (US) and 02 (UK) and it was Editor's Pick on the Independent Radar Show on popular video website, Video-C. Produced by Dallmeyer Pictures. “(UK) Hanky Panky is a big fat slice of electronica. A barnstorming floor kicker with enough punch to knock you off the dance floor and into the mosh pit!.” – Manchester Music "His new songs are skilfully crafted pop with ambition and backbone. Lyrically the new and improved Mandy Kane is in a happy place." - Nui Te Koha, Herald Sun (Aust) "Kane is unabashedly a triumph of style as well as substance ..." - Andrew Tijs, Mess + Noise (Aust) "Crazy, sexy, cool electronica rock from Australia's extremely talented Mandy Kane ... the new Prince of Rock..." - KarmaDownload.com (Unsigned)
