This list includes popular, acclaimed, and otherwise significant (for whatever reason) films of all countries from 1960 to 1969. The decade is known for being prominent in the historical drama, psychological horror, and comedy and the sub-genres of spy film, sword and sandal, and spaghetti westerns all peaking during this decade. Toward the end of the decade films turned increasingly dramatic as the cultural revolution was starting and the films were taking shape of what was to come in the 1970s.
