The <strong><a href="/term/1963">1963</a> <a href="/term/African_Cup_of_Nations">African Cup of Nations</a></strong> was the fourth edition of the <a href="/term/African_Cup_of_Nations">African Cup of Nations</a>, the <a href="/term/Soccer">soccer</a> championship of Africa (<a href="/term/Confederation_of_African_Football">CAF</a>). It was hosted by <a href="/term/Ghana">Ghana</a>. The field expanded to six teams, split into two groups of three; the winners of the group met in the final. <a href="/term/Ghana_national_football_team">Ghana</a> won its first championship, beating <a href="/term/Sudan_national_football_team">Sudan</a> in the final 3-0.<p>
