The 1997 National League Division Series was a best-of-five matchup that saw the Wild Card Champion Florida Marlins face the Western Division Champion San Francisco Giants and the Eastern Division Champion Atlanta Braves face the Central Division Champion Houston Astros. Both Division Series were sweeps as both teams dominated to make their way into the 1997 National League Championship Series. The Marlins would defeat the Braves 4 games to 2 in that Series and would go on to become the first Wild Card team to win the World Series.
