The 2011 Cricket World Cup East Asia-Pacific qualification system will see teams from the region compete for places in the international tournaments as part of qualifying for the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

Overview

Japan won the 2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup, defeating the Cook Islands in the final. Other teams in the field were Tonga, Vanuatu, Indonesia and Samoa. Both finalists gained a place in the 2006 ICC EAP Cricket Trophy, but were defeated by 2005 ICC WCQS runners-up Fiji for the EAP regional berth in the 2007 ICC World Cricket League, Division III. As the top-ranked team[link] from the region based on the last World Cup qualifying cycle, Papua New Guinea was automatically inserted into the 2007 WCL.

Fiji - won the 2006 ICC EAP Cricket Trophy; advanced to Division III of the 2007 World Cricket League

Cook Islands - second place in the 2006 ICC EAP Cricket Trophy

Japan - third place in the 2006 ICC EAP Cricket Trophy

Vanuatu - third place in the 2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup

Tonga - fourth place in the 2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup

Indonesia - fifth place in the 2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup

Samoa - sixth place in the 2005 ICC EAP Cricket Cup
