3,3’,5,5’-Tetramethylbenzidine or TMB is a reagent used in staining procedures in immunohistochemistry.
It is a white crystal powder which should be protected from exposure to sunlight, and a mutagen.
Forms a blue mixture when combined with a peroxidase substrate; completion of the reaction results in a yellow coloration.
