- January - Battle of Gabiene between Antigonus and Eumenes. Eumenes is defeated and captured due to treachery, and executed at the insistence of Antigonus's lieutenants, despite the desire of Antigonus and his son Demetrius to spare him. Antigonus is now the undisputed master of Asia. He deposes Seleucus as Satrap of Babylon. Seleucus flees to Egypt.
- The Macedonian port city, Thessalonica, is founded by Cassander in honor of his wife Thessaloniki, daughter of Philip II of Macedon and sister of the late king Philip Arrhidaeus.
- Agathocles, the tyrant of Syracuse, seizes the city of Messina.
- City of Thebes restored by Cassander.
- Aratus, Macedonian Greek mathematician, astronomer, meteorologist, botanist and poet (possibly born in 310 BC).
