On 31 March 1909, the rebellion under Ottoman Empire that replaced the government and sultan. It is also named as the "counter-revolution" against the Committee of Union and Progress.
It has been suggested that the counter-revolution constituted a brakdown between Britain's relations with Ottoman Empire marking the end of the one year old cooperation. It is believed that it had unlimited British support behind it.
