3Xtrim Aircraft Factory 3Xtrim
Encyclopedia : 3 : 3X : 3XT : 3Xtrim Aircraft Factory 3Xtrim
The 3Xtrim is a small civil utility aircraft produced in Poland by the 3Xtrim Aircraft Factory. It is a two-seat high-wing monoplane with fixed tricycle undercarriage. It is available either as a complete aircraft or in kit form.
The 3Xtrim is produced in three versions, the 450 Ultra, 495 Ultra+, and the 550 Trener. The 450 and 495 are small enough to qualify as an ultralight in some parts of the world. Despite appearing to be a "leet" way of spelling "extreme", the aircraft's name actually is intended to suggest being trimmed in all three axes.
Krzysztof Wieczorek won the 16th FAI World Precision Flying Championship in 2004 and took the 3rd place in the 14th FAI World Rally Flying Championship in 2004 flying 3Xtrim.
