The 554th Electronic Systems Wing's precursor organization was inactivated on Nov. 1, 1991, as the 554th Operations Support Wing. The 554 ELSE was last stationed at Nellis AFB, Nev., but was reactivated to replace the Operations Support Systems Wing at Hanscom AFB, Mass.
