60 Echo is a quite large Main belt asteroid It is a S-type asteroid its surface is bright in color and it is probably a mixture of iron-nickel metals and silicate rock.

Echo was discovered by James Ferguson on September 14 1860 It was his third and final asteroid discovery It is named after Echo a nymph in Greek mythology.
