64th World Science Fiction Convention

The 64th World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) will be L.A.con IV, which will be held in Anaheim, California, United States 23-27 August, 2006. The Venue for the 64th Worldcon will be Anaheim Convention Center and the nearby Hilton and Marriott hotels.

As of November 2005 the total registered membership of the convention is 2901. The members represent 20 different nationalities. By far the largest contingents are from the USA and from Canada. The organising committee is chaired by Christian B. McGuire.

Guests of Honour

The guests of honour are:

Worldcon Site Selection

The members of L.A.con IV (and Interaction, the 2005 Worldcon) will select the hosting city for the 66th World Science Fiction Convention, to be held in 2008.

Hugo Awards

The convention in 2006 will award Hugos for achievements in the field of Science Fiction in the year 2005.

List of Participating Writers

With the exception of the guests of honour, the convention has not yet announced the names of the people participating in the programme.
