6 mm XC

6 mm XC (also known as 6XC) is a fairly new rifle cartridge that was developed specifically for long-range benchrest shooting by 11-time NRA High Power National Champion David Tubb. It is touted as being one of the most accurate 6 mm rounds in the world. It was designed for high long-range accuracy, long barrel life and low recoil. It also has a case geometry that appears to be suitable for repeating rifles such as the AR-10.
Originally, the case for this wildcat cartridge had to be formed from .22-250 brass, but it is now commercially available.
Performance
Along with 6 mm BR, this round is able to compete in 1000 yard competions against even the larger calibers such as 6.5-284, 300 Ackley and 300 Win Mag. 6 mm XC has claimed wins in several NRA High Power National Championships and a number of NRA Long Range championship events (1000 yard events).Muzzle velocity
