96.3 Radio Aire

96.3 Radio Aire is the main Independent Local Radio station broadcasting in Leeds. It is situated on Kirkstall Road/Burley Road next to Yorkshire Television's TV Studios. It was bought by EMAP in 1995 and is part of the their Big City Network of stations.
The transmitter is based in Morley, close to the A653 and junction 28 of the M62. This also broadcasts [Magic 828] on Radio Aire's pre-July 1990 MW frequency. The 96.3 FM signal is only audible around Leeds, or close to the M62.
