|} A-sharp minor is a minor scale based on A-sharp. The A-sharp minor scale consists of the pitches A-sharp, B-sharp, C-sharp, D-sharp, E-sharp, F-sharp, G-double sharp and A-sharp (harmonic minor scale). Its key signature consists of seven sharps. Its relative major is C-sharp major, and its parallel major is B-flat major; the enharmonic name of B-flat major, A-sharp major, is very rarely used. Its direct enharmonic equivalent is B-flat minor. Changes needed for the melodic and harmonic versions of the scale are written in with accidentals as necessary. The enharmonic equivalent B-flat minor is often used in most musical compositions instead of A-sharp minor, thus indicating that A-sharp minor is not a practical key for compositions and is one of the least used minor key in music.
