A.J. Wright is a chain of 152 American department stores owned by TJX Companies. Like its sister company T.J. Maxx, A.J. Wright sells clothing, domestics, giftware, footwear, accessories, and fragrances at prices between twenty and seventy percent below regular prices. A.J. Wright is different from other TJX Company chains in that it refreshes its merchandise on a regular basis. For most stores, new shipments arive daily.
Business strategy
A.J. Wright's primary target market is moderate-income families, although the recent expansion of the company has drawn in additional consumer groups.[link] This expansion has also prompted A.J. Wright owners to construct and open eight new stores by the end of 2006.In addition to the aforementioned weekly refresh of goods, A.J. Wright utilizes a community service strategy.
