A. E. Staley is a Decatur, Illinois based processor of corn and soybeans, owned by Tate and Lyle, LLC. It produces corn syrup, soybean oil, and other agroindustrial products. AE Staley Manufacturing Company was the center of much controversy in 1995 when the company locked out hundreds of workers after rejecting a union-busting contract.
