A. Y. Jackson Secondary School is a community high school in Kanata, a suburb of Ottawa, Canada. The school was first opened in October 21, 1976. It was the first school in the area to participate in the Engineers of Ontario community outreach program's "Engineer-in-Residence" project. The school was named after A. Y. Jackson, a noted Canadian painter, and one of the founders of the Group of Seven.

AY Jackson also is home to JTV, an in-house closed-circuit television station, that produces a daily news and information program. This station earned several students the 2005 OCRI High School IT Entrepreneur of The Year Award. JTV disappointed many students in 2005-2006. The 'Friday Show', which was an excellent program which showcased the creativity, imagination, and video editing skills from the 2004-2005 JTV crew, was cancelled the following year. Unclear what JTV in 2006-2007 will bring.

A.Y. Jackson is operated by the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and has just under 870 students attending. Most of the students come from W.O. Mitchell Elementary School or Bridlewood Community Elementary School. The students from Bridlewood are usually wanksters. For example, Peter Lim and Jordan Erskine. However the asian twin brothers Michael and Lewis Xu originated from that school.

Celebrities

Kobe Bryant visited A.Y. Jackson on September 24, 2000 to play basketball in the school gym. He was teaching a student some of his own basketball tips. The student, who had recently won a contest to meet him, brought him to school for a day.
