The A1 Team Portugal is the portuguese team for A1 Grand Prix, an international racing series. A1 Team Portugal became the first country in continental Europe to unveil its A1GP car in May 30 2005.

Owners

The A1 Team Portugal team owners are the well know football player, Luís Figo, and coach Carlos Queiroz. The team's operations are run by CEO Luís Vicente, manager of the Fundação Luís Figo.

Team Manager and Drivers

The main driver for the portuguese team is 2005 British Formula 3 champion Álvaro Parente, who will take part in the season's first six races, with João Urbano as reserve driver. Pedro Lamy had originally been appointed as main driver, but it is unlikely he will take part in any race. The team manager is Trevor Carlin, with Carlin Motorsport in charge of technical support.
