Team history
The team was founded in 1992 under the name Chazal, then adopted the name Petit Casino in 1996. The insurance broker AG2R arrived on the scene, causing the team to once again change its name from Casino - AG2R Prévoyance between 1997 and 1999, then later just AG2R Prévoyance after the year 2000.2006 ProTour squad
Per January 4 2006, AG2R Prévoyance has 27 riders under contract for 2006 which, under the UCI ProTour rules for the season, is three riders short of the maximum 30 riders allowed on UCI ProTour teams.For the 2006 season, AG2R have acquired French hero Christophe Moreau, Tour GC contender Francisco Mancibo from Illes Balears, which will increase their chances at an top finish at the Tour in the General Classification.
