Abacination

Abacination is a form of torture in which the subject is blinded by a hot metal rod or plate placed directly in front of the eyes, claimed to have been used in the Middle Ages as well as during the Inquisition to punish or to make the subject speak. This rather obscure method of torture is perhaps best known by its popularized usage in the song Angel Of Death by American thrash metal band Slayer.
