Abegweit First Nation

Abegweit is a Mi'kmaq First Nation on Prince Edward Island, Canada, with its headquarters in Scotchfort, outside Charlottetown. The band has three reserves at its disposal: Morell Rear Reserve 2, Rocky Point Reserve 3, and Scotchfort Reserve 4. The Abegweit First Nation, along with the Lennox Island First Nation, are the only First Nations in the province.

Abegweit is also (not coincidentally) the widely known anglicization of Epikwetk, the original Mi'kmaq word for Prince Edward Island.
