Aber Falls
Encyclopedia : A : AB : ABE : Aber Falls
Aber Falls (Rhaeadr Fawr in Welsh) is a waterfall located about two miles south of the village of Abergwyngregyn, Gwynedd, Wales.
The waterfall is formed as the Afon Goch plunges about 120 feet over a cliff in the foothills of the Carneddau range. The river changes its name at the falls, and becomes Afon Rhaeadr Fawr, and from the bridge at Bont Newydd changes its name again to become Afon Aber. The falls are an important tourist attraction, partly because of the scenery in the area.
