Acadia Parish is a parish located in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The parish seat is Crowley and As of 2000, the population was 58,861. The parish was founded in 1887 after a heated election to determine the parish seat, ending when Crowley just beat out Rayne and Prairie Hayes.
