Adenotrophic vivparity is a unusual stage in the life cycle of many insects such as the Tsetse Fly, gnats, moths, fleas, and mosquitos. It occurs during the late pupa stage of complete metamorphosis (egg, larve, pupa, and adult as opposed to incomplete egg, nymph and adult.)
