African Safari Airways is an airline based in Basel in Switzerland. It operates up-market charter and inclusive tour flights between Europe and Kenya, serving the East African game parks and other tourist attractions in the area.

History

The airline was established on 1 August 1967 and started operations on 31 December 1967 with a flight between Zurich and Mombasa. It is wholly owned by the African Safari Club company which also controls eight hotels on the Kenyan coast and six safari lodges and camps.

Services

African Safari Airways operates the following services (at February 2005):

Mombasa to Basel, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, London Gatwick, Milan, Munich, Vienna and Zurich.
