Queen Ahmose-Nefertari of Egypt was the sister-wife of Egypt's Pharaoh Ahmose I. She had at least two children—Amenhotep I and Ahmose-Meritamon, who wed each other and were the parents of the Princess Aahmes. Aahmes married the next pharaoh, Thutmose I (also known as Tuthmosis or Thothmes), a military general who succeeded to the throne of Egypt after Amenhotep I died childless. The royal couple had a daughter, the Princess Hatshepsut, while Thutmose had a son, Thutmose II, by a lesser queen.
Queen Ahmose-Nefertari was the first Great Royal Wife (Queen of Egypt) to use the title God's Wife of Amun.
