Air Officer

An Air Officer is a British Royal Air Force officer of rank Air Commodore or higher. It is equivalent in concept to the flag officer in navies and a general officer in armies and marine corps. (However, note that in the British forces, while an Air Commodore is an Air Officer, his naval equivalent (Commodore) is not considered a flag officer, nor is his military or marine equivalent (Brigadier) considered a general officer.)
