The airline was established in 1982 to fly scheduled services between Egypt and Israel (on routes previously flown by Nefetiti Aviation), which for political reasons could not be handled by parent company EgyptAir. Services started using a Boeing 737-200 leased from EgyptAir and new routes to Israel's tourist destinations followed. By the early 1980s a Fokker F27 Friendship was also in use on these services. Charter flights were also flown for EgyptAir.Services
The airline currently serves the following routes:
- Cairo-Tel Aviv, thrice weekly
- Sharm el-Sheikh-Tel Aviv, once weekly scheduled service.
Fleet
Air Sinai's sole B735 operates devoid of markings (besides a blue tail and engines) and is used on Egyptair's domestic services when not flying for Air Sinai.External links
