Air Transport Command

The Air Transport Command was the World War II-era United States Army Air Corps (later Army Air Force) unit focused on transportation of troops and supplies. It was composed almost entirely of cargo planes, and was the precursor to what became the Air Force Military Air Transport Service, then Military Airlift Command and eventually the Air Mobility Command.
