Airkenya Express Limited, which is a privately owned company, was formed and started operations in 1985 from the merger of Air Kenya and Sunbird Aviation. The two companies had over 20 years of general aviation experience in East Africa.

- Domestic scheduled destinations: Amboseli, Kiwayu, Lamu, Lewa Downs, Malindi, Maasai Mara, Meru, Nairobi, Nanyuki and Samburu. All from Wilson Airport, Nairobi.
- International scheduled destinations: Kilimanjaro.
