} Akshardham temple Gujarat was inaugrated by Pramukh Swami Maharaj on 2nd November 1992 and was dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. It is located at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. This temple was constructed by BAPS.

Islamic terrorists attacked the temple on September 24th 2002 and killed 33 unarmed worshippers and wounded 70.
