Alūksne district (
Latvian:
Alūksnes rajons) is an
administrative division of
Latvia, located in the north-east of the country 202 km (152 mi 1267') from capital city
Riga. Borders with
Estonia (border 103.8 km/64.35 mi),
Russia (border 46.4 km/28.77 mi),
Valka District (51.7 km/32.05 mi),
Gulbene District (98.1 km/60.83 mi) and
Balvi District (57.4 km/35.58 mi). The main city in the district is
Alūksne.
