Al Udeid Air Base

Al Udeid Air Base is a military base in Qatar. Based there is a Royal Air Force detachment there in addition to a United States military camp. After the September 11, 2001 attacks, Qatar granted permission for U.S. warplanes to be sent to Al Udeid AB for use in missions to Afghanistan.
