Don Alessandro Torlonia (7 December 1911 - 1 May 1986) was the 5th Prince of Civitella-Cesi. He was the son of Prince Don Marino Torlonia, 4th prince of Civitella-Cesi and of Mary Elsie Moore. She was the daughter of Charles Arthur Moore, a wealthy American shipping broker and hardware manufacturer from Connecticut, and of Kate Moore Campbell, the subject of many stories in European society. He was born in Rome and died in the Palazzo Torlonia, Rome.
On January 14 1935, Don Alessandro married the Infanta Beatriz of Spain (San Ildefonso 22 June 1909 - Rome 22 November 2002), the daughter of King Alfonso XIII of Spain and of Princess Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg.
Don Alessandro and Doña Beatriz had four children:
- Donna Sandra Torlonia (born 1936), who married Count Clemente Lequio di Assaba (1925-1971); their son, Count Alessandro Lequio, is a well-known celebrity in Spain.
- Don Marco Torlonia, 6th prince of Civitella-Cesi, (born 1937) who married first Princess Orsetta Caracciolo, second Philippa McDonald and currently Blazena Svitaková.
- Don Marino Torlonia (1939-1995)
- Donna Olimpia Torlonia (born 1943), who married the millionaire Paul-Annik Weiller. She's the mother of Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg, the wife of Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg.
