Alexandair is a charter airline based in Heraklion, Greece. It is a start-up carrier initially operating only charter services using a single aircraft.
Fleet
The Alexandair fleet consists of 1 McDonnell Douglas MD-82 aircraft (at July 2005). The aircraft is ex-Austrian Airlines and was delivered to the airline in April 2005.
In 20 August 2005, the aircraft was grounded for one day, from Greek aviation authorities, for technical problems. Comments from customers about the safety of the aircraft, as well as the quality of service are negative.
