Alexander Rüstow

Alexander Rüstow (8. April 1885 - †30. June 1963), social scientist and economist. He is the father of the "social market economy" that shaped Germany after World War II. [more info]

Alexander Rüstow (1824-1866) was a Prussian soldier and military writer.

The brother of Friedrich Wilhelm Rüstow and Caesar Rüstow, he is remembered for his work Der Kustenkrieg (Berlin, 1848). Alexander and Caesar both fell on the field of battle in the war of 1866, Alexander at the Battle of Königgratz.
