Alice Randall

Alice Randall (born in Detroit, Michigan) is an African American author and songwriter. A 1981 graduate of Harvard, she is the second African American woman to write a number one country hit, following Donna Summer. Over 20 of her songs have been recorded, including songs performed by Trisha Yearwood and Mark O'Connor. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee and is married to attorney David Ewing.
