Alley Mills (born May 9 1951 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actress best known for her role as Norma Arnold, the matriarch in the coming-of-age series The Wonder Years. Her other television credits include Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Girlfriends, Strong Medicine, NYPD Blue and among others. She has also had recurring roles in Yes, Dear, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Hill Street Blues. She is married to actor Orson Bean.
