Allison Anders

Allison Anders (born November 16, 1954) is an American film director.

A graduate of UCLA's film school, Allison Anders has directed several independent films, including Gas, Food, Lodging (1992), Mi Vida Loca (1994), and Grace of My Heart (1996). Her most recent film is Things Behind the Sun.

In 1995, she was awarded a MacArthur Foundation "genius grant".
