Hiking - Mackinaw to Hawks Trail, with a primarily gravel surface, runs through Aloha State Park. In the summer months this trail is non-motorized and used for hiking, equestrian, and biking. The trail is groomed for snowmobiling in the winter.
Metal Detecting - Metal detecting is recognized as a legitimate recreation activity when it is conducted in ways that do not damage the natural and cultural resources in Michigan State Parks nor violate applicable state statutes.
