Alyssa Beckerman (b. Long Branch, New Jersey, USA - January 23, 1981) is a gymnast and student.
Member of United States National Gymnastics Team from 1997-2000. Her highest honor was making the 1999 World Gymnastics Championships, but she was unable to compete due to a wrist injury. Was an alternate member of the 2000 US Olympic Team, but did not compete because Tasha Schwikert was instead selected in place of an injured Morgan White. Competed on the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Intercollegiate Gymnastics Team from 2001-2003.
Beckerman is best known for her exquisite, clean gymnastics and her tremendous dance ability. While not a very powerful gymnast, her floor exercise routines were dramatic and well-received by judges. Beckerman's ability to pirouette was largely unmatched by other American gymnasts. Her triple pirouette on the floor exercise was well performed, as well as her pirouette with leg horizontal to the floor on the balance beam.
Beckerman's best events were the un-even bars and the balance beam.
