Amagasaki (尼崎市; -shi) is a city located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on April 1, 1916.

Transportation

A commuter train derailed on the JR Fukuchiyama Line near Amagasaki Station on April 25, 2005, resulting in more than 100 dead and 460 injured. See Amagasaki rail crash for details.
