American Gothic was a CBS drama series, created by Shaun Cassidy, which ran from September 1995 to July 1996. Set in the fictional town of Trinity, South Carolina, it starred Gary Cole as Sheriff Lucas Buck and Lucas Black as Caleb Temple. The program featured various elements of horror and the supernatural. Basic Plot: The small southern town of Trinity has many dark secrets. Most of the townsfolk would prefer those secrets to stay buried as they have 'deals' with the sherriff Lucas Buck, who may or may not be the devil.

DVD Release

Universal Studios has released the entire season of American Gothic on DVD as a region 1 doubled-sided 3-disc set in the US and as a region 2 single-sided 6-disc set in Europe.

Episode Order

CBS originally aired American Gothic out of sequence that did not make sense to anyone who followed it. They did this to increase ratings. CBS also never aired four episodes (Potato Boy, Ring of Fire, Echo of Your Last Goodbye and Strangler). Subsequent airings would later adopt the producer's intended order that made sense. This correct sequence order of American Gothic episodes are as follows:

(*) Denotes that this episode is not in the correct order on the DVD release. The subsequent number refers to the disc number that the episode is contained on. The current DVD releases do not contain the episodes in their correct order as Universal has decided to present the series as it was originally aired without any indication that the show is presented out of sequence. Printing out this list and keeping it inside the DVD case is a good idea for reference.

The Region 1 and Region 2 Discs have the episodes in the same order. The order is as follows:
