American Society of Media Photographers

The American Society of Media Photographers, abbreviated ASMP, is a society of photographers, specifically photojouralists, which defines standards of industry, and educates and generally aids its members. It was founded in 1944 as the American Society of Magazine Photographers, which it was called until its expansion in 1992. The ASMP now has over 5000 members of over 30 countries.
