Ames High School is the high school of the Ames Community School District in Ames, Iowa. The school motto is "Ames Hi Aims High." There are approximately 1600 students, and the principal is Mike McGrory.

The school has been recently renovated to incorporate a new locker room, a new wrestling room, and a new cafeteria. Construction workers are also currently working on renovating the courtyard. The school aims to have the construction completed by the start of the 2006-2007 school year.

Ames High School is represented in the Central Iowa Metropolitan League for athletics by the Little Cyclones.
