Amstel Tijgers is the Ice Hockey team of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They consist of an amateur and a pro-section, which are separate legal entities. They play at the Jaap Eden baan.

Earlier Names
The Amstel Tijgers has returned to its original name in the 2005/2006 season. Unusually for a Dutch Ice Hockey team the team isn't linked to a sponsor. In previous years the names of the Team were: Amsterdam Bulldogs, Boretti Tigers and Al Capone Flames.The Amstel is the river that flows through Amsterdam. Tijgers is the Dutch word for Tigers
